We are seeking a Research Associate (PDRA) with expertise in metallurgical-process interactions in Additive Manufacturing. This post will involve using the state-of-the art electron microscopy and other characterization facilities available at Manchester, to study microstructure evolution in high performance titanium, nickel and steel alloys during high deposition rate additive manufacture, tailor their properties, help develop predictive models, and inform alloy and process design. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary research team with partners at Cranfield, Coventry, and Strathclyde Universities.
