Graded materials
An advantage of WAAM is the ability to build property tailored parts out of multiple materials. Preliminary work has now been performed to assess the fundamental limitations of dilution and mixing with the current WAAM process, potential interface microstructure effects, and to evaluate the potential properties that could be obtained.
