Hi there, my name is Ehsan Mohseni

Lecturer in Applied Sensing and Signal Processing

University of Strathclyde

Ehsan was born in 1983 in Iran. He received his BSc from Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz in material science, metallurgy engineering. He continued his studies in MSc at University of Tehran in the field of materials engineering, metal forming. During his years of study, he had grown an interest for nondestructive testing/evaluation (NDT/E) and hence, he joined Ecole de Technologie Superieure (ETS), Montreal, Canada to pursue his studies on Eddy currents testing. Thanks to multidisciplinary projects at ETS, involving industrial partners active in aerospace, he became familiar with most frequently used NDT/E methods such as eddy currents, ultrasound, and computed tomography. Ehsan joined as a research associate to Center for Ultrasonic Engineering (CUE) at University of Strathclyde in fall 2019, and he has been mainly involved in NEWAM project since then to develop inspection strategies and tooling for WAAM samples. Ehsan's research interest is mainly focused on providing NDT/E inspection and monitoring solutions for new complex manufacturing processes and materials.
